NO, the system works in conjunction with your existing locks

What happens if there is a power cut?
The
Locca systems have a rechargeable battery in the
Locca receiver, which ensures the system functions
normally during a power cut. If the system has been installed and powering for 48 hours the battery will
last for 48 hours.
As your locks don not change there is always a manual key override.
Where can I buy a Locca System?

Locca is available at B & Q. Alternatively, please contact your local locksmith. If you are having difficulty

How do I get the Locca system installed?
The
Locca system has been designed for simple installation and can be installed by any handyman, electrician or
locksmith. Installation should take no more than 45 minutes on a standard wooden door. Please call ERA on
01922 490 000 for a list of installers.
Can I buy extra Locca remotes?
Extra remotes can be bought from B & Q or any local locksmith.
What is the range of the Locca system
The
Locca system will work from a range of 50 meters outside and 20 meters inside. These
distancesare approximate.
Can I let guests in from inside?
The
Locca system will still work from inside the residence. To let guests in from the comfort of your chair, simply
press the
Locca and the door will be unlocked for your guest to enter.
What is the warranty on the product?
The
Locca systems come with a twelve month warranty.
What is Rolling Code radio frequency technology?
The Rolling Code technology has been refined and improved over 15 years and it is the most secure security
code available. The 32-bit encrypted portion provides for more than 4 billion code combinations, which change with
every press of the remote.
Can I still use my key?
Yes, the your existing keys will still work as normal as the locks are not changed.
What happens if I lose my Locca remote?
Simply ‘erase’ the
Locca Remotes by pressing ‘Erase’ on the
Locca Receiver, then ‘add’ a new
Locca remote.
Will the Locca systems fit PVC doors?
The
Locca system works with the ERA Access Multi Point lock for PVC or composite doors. For more information
